Welcome To Carol's Website

I was born in Birmingham, England 56 years ago. I have two brothers Robert and Derek. We lived with Mum & Dad (Jack and Gladys Smith) in Harborne, Birmingham, where we all went to St. Peter's Infant School and then onto Harborne Hill Secondary Modern School. In my younger days my hobbies included rifle shooting, Judo, Fencing, Dancing and Family History.

I trained as a Secretary, eventually married and moved to Devon, continued working and ended up as a Legal Secretary. I have two children, Sarah and Malcolm. I remarried 10 years later to a wonderful man named Ron Gigg, and moved to Honiton in Devon.

Now that I am retired I can indulge my passion which is Family History. I also do research for other people and cover Dorset, Somerset and Devon.
